A man has been taken to a major trauma centre following a serious crash involving a motorcycle and pedestrian in Canning Town. 

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to Hallsville Road at 11.23am this morning (July 23) with reports of a crash. 

An incident response officer and a paramedic in a fast response car were dispatched to the scene to support ambulance crew colleagues.

The first of the emergency responders arrived within two minutes of receiving the report.

The man was taken to a major trauma centre after being treated at the scene. 

His injuries have not been deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The Met has confirmed that no arrests have been made as their enquiries into the incident continue. 

According to the AA, the A1011 Silvertown Way has been closed in both directions between Hallsville Road and Caxton Street North to allow for crash investigation works to be carried out.

What does this mean for buses?:

Several bus services have been affected, including the 147, 330 and 474. 

The 147 bus route is running on a diverted route in both directions via the A13 Newham Way. Stops from Newham Way to Brunel Street towards Canning Town will be missed. 

Stops from Hallsville Road to Newham Way towards Ilford will not be served. 

The 330 service has been curtailed and will now start and end at Canning Town Bus Station. There will be no service between George Street and Thames Barrier towards North Woolwich.

In the direction of Manor Park, the service will not be operating between Thames Barrier and Brunel Street. 

The 474 will start and end on Tarling Road, with no service between Jude Street and Canning Town Bus Station towards Canning Town. 

No service will run between Canning Town Bus Station and Rogers Road towards Manor Park.
