A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing at a home in Canning Town.
Daniel Whybrow, of Hartington Road, was initially charged with attempted murder on Sunday, October 6.
However, the charge was upgraded to murder after 50-year-old Raish Ahmed died in hospital on Monday, October 7.
He had been attacked at a property on Hartington Road on Saturday, October 5.
Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at around 4.30pm that day.
Paramedics found Raish with serious stab wounds and rushed him to the hospital.
Two others were also injured during the incident including a teenage boy who sustained a slash wound, and a 41-year-old man who was assaulted.
Their injuries were considered not life-threatening.
In addition to the murder charge, Whybrow, 46, faces multiple other charges, including grievous bodily harm against the teenager, threats to kill, and racially aggravated assault by beating. He is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Whybrow is set to appear at the Central Criminal Court on Monday, January 6, 2025.
