DOROTHY ANN CLOKE (nee Butt) aged 68 of Bromley-by-Bow. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden loss of our dear mum, who passed away on 7th September 2017 after a sudden illness. She passed in her sleep, after a short battle with cancer. Whilst being cared for by her 2 daughters and the rest of her family in her daughter Julies home. Dorothy was a local character, who was well known amongst the Stratford stallholders and shopkeepers where she frequented. Our mum was very chatty and friendly. She liked to find out about people and share her own stories. She was kind and loving and adored her family of 4 children and their partners, 8 grand children and 2 great grand children. She always made us laugh with her quirky view of the world. She was stubborn and independent and we admired her for that. A truly one off individual. She has left behind a space that cannot be filled. We will miss her terribly! Debbie, Dean, Paul, Julie and all the family. The service will be held at The City of London Cemetery on Friday 22nd September 2017 at 11.15am Denningtons in Roman Road are arranging flowers if anyone wishes to contribute. Thank you.
