An investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found near the River Thames.
Emergency services were called to the Royal Wharf Walk, in Newham, at 11.08am on Thursday.
The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance attended.
The body of a man, aged in his 20s, was recovered at the scene, Scotland Yard said.
Enquiries are underway to identify the man and notify next of kin.
A Met spokesperson added: "At this stage, the death is being treated as unexpected and the circumstances will be investigated.
"There have been no arrests."
