A 16-year-old boy is in hospital where a man is fighting for his life after both were stabbed.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were scrambled to Hartington Road, in Newham, shortly after 4.30pm on Saturday (October 5) to reports of a stabbing.
Metropolitan Police officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS).
A man in his 50s was found with stab wounds and a 16-year-old boy was also found with slash injuries, Scotland Yard said.
The man in his 50s was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The boy's condition is non life-threatening.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody.
Enquiries continue.
